Now an Ice Storm!!

Well to keep things exciting – The weatherman is now talking about a ice storm with 1/2″ inch accum. and 45 mph winds.  So we are are busy gathering extra water, extra hay to bed down the animals, setting up candle stations (for power outage) and stocking the front porch with plenty of firewood (our heat source).

Joshua landed this morning and has had to transform from Coast Guard officer to country son and help out – he is loving it.  Big change from combat training in Washington State and Calif.

Started the day with pancakes and bacon for six at the breakfast table (I loved it)  Lunch will be a spread of the week’s leftovers – roast ham, roast beef and chicken cutlets.  Breads and spreads or leftover salad-makings fron last night – if chosen, then a well earned nap.
